When a long or short integer coded value domain is assigned to a field of a different integer type, the coded value is displayed in both the attribute table and when using the Identify tool.

Description

When an attribute table contains coded value domains with the short integer or long integer data type, using the Identify tool in ArcMap to view the attribute information displays the coded values instead of the description.

Cause

This issue occurs if the coded values are assigned to fields with a different integer type in a file geodatabase. This is a known defect and is logged as BUG-000088677.

Workaround

To solve this issue, ensure the coded values have the same data type as the assigned field.
