When a hosted view layer is edited via an applyEdits call where the Use GlobalIds parameter is set to True, the edit settings of the attributes are not honored causing the non-editable fields in the view to be updated.

Workaround

Set the Use GlobalIds parameter to False in the applyEdits request (in which case ObjectIDs is used).
