When a hosted feature service is configured with 100% transparency on symbols, the labels fail to display in ArcGIS Collector (Android).

Additional Information

This is expected behavior when setting the symbol display to 100% transparency, the labels do not display also. Setting the transparency level to 99% or less within the web map allows the labels to display in ArcGIS Collector while also hiding the symbol.

Workaround

Use null fill or outline symbology instead of 100% transparency.

  1. Remove the transparency (drag the slider back to 0%).
  2. Instead, set the fill and outline to null.
  3. Save the web map.
  4. Open the web map in ArcGIS Collector (Android).
  5. The labels draw correctly.
