Bug

When a feature class is stored in a SQL Server geodatabase, the Select By Attribute tool does not work properly when specifying a double field type in the SQL expression. Some decimal values work properly, others do not (e.g. 0.1 or 0.2) due to the double-precision field type.

Workaround

Perform any of the following workarounds to resolve the issue:

  • Change the Fields which were Type=Double to Type=Float.
  • Manually enter the value into the SQL view of the Select By Attribute expression.
  • Create multiple expressions to achieve the selection, such as Field>=0.7 AND Field<=0.79.
  • Ask the SDE admin to change the length of the problematic fields to be less than 17. Preferably 15, to match with the ArcGIS Pro attribute table.
