Weighted overlay tool crashes ArcMap when the input field is something other than the raster value.

Workaround

If the text strings are very long When scaling multiple text values to a common scale value in the weighted overlay table this could be the cause for the crash. a) Use shorter text strings if this is possible.b) Use VALUE or numeric field instead (need to know the lookup values ie, 1 = vegetation, 2 = water, etc)or,Reclassify the input raster to the desired scale value. Apply the weights and sum the reclassified raster using Raster Calculator.
