Web Map Service (WMS) services crash with the error, "Error occurred while processing request" when the source data includes certain NetCDF datasets in map or image services are enabled.

Workaround

  1. Use a geoprocessing tool to create a new raster dataset of NetCDF raster files.
  2. Import the new raster datasets into mosaic dataset.
  3. Publish as a new service.
The Web Map Service (WMS) services do not crash.
