Using the 'Larger (150%)' magnified display setting in Windows causes display issues in ArcMap 10.5.1 when 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' is not enabled in the program properties.

Additional Information

This issue is not addressed, as the security vulnerabilities or third party issues affectting ArcMap or ArcGIS for Desktop are prioritized. The included workaround for this problem is correct and offers a slight reprieve. Migrating to ArcGIS Pro is recommended.

Workaround

Disable display scaling on high DPI settings when launching ArcMap 10.5.1:

1. Click Start and click ArcMap 10.5.1.

2. Right-click ArcMap 10.5.1 and click Properties.

3. Click the Compatibility tab.

4. Check the box next to 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings'.
