Bug
URLs sent using the sharing proxy in Portal for ArcGIS 10.3.1 fail with "Error 403" when the Portal site is referenced via a DNS alias, even when authentication information is passed.

This is expected behavior. When using a DNS alias to access Portal, either the web adaptor needs to be registered using the DNS alias or the WebContextURL parameter needs to be defined in portaladmin/system/properties. This will allow the sharing proxy to function as expected.Workaround
Use the machine name rather than the DNS alias.Steps to Reproduce
