Uploading a skeleton (no data in feature class) zipped file geodatabase which has domains to ArcGIS Online to be published as a hosted feature layer with editing turned on causes an orange warning exclamation mark at the bottom left of Map Viewer as well as after adding new data, no data appears.

The issue has been fixed.

Workaround

  • Publish directly from ArcGIS Desktop.
  • Remove domains from the file geodatabase before zipping and uploading to ArcGIS Online.
