Upgrading to ArcGIS Pro 2.3 causes tasks to disappear from the ArcGIS Pro project file (.aprx), returning the message “Unable to open the task. It cannot be found.”

The issue is not reproducible.

Workaround

Before upgrading to ArcGIS Pro 2.3, save the task file by right-clicking the task file and saving the task file locally.
