Additional Information

When copy or pasting an entire record into Notepad, field names and their values are tab separated. In this instance, when selecting from right-to-left and passing across the column divider line, that tab is also being captured. This is why when pasted, the value appears to include extra, leading space. This can be confirmed by using the arrow keys to navigate individual characters within Notepad. This is also why, when selecting from left-to-right, which also means starting to the right of the column divider, this issue is not seen. Issue it not limited to numeric fields. This is entirely dependent upon how far past the column divider the mouse button is held when dragging.

Workaround

Instead of dragging to highlight, double-click to select the full field value without capturing the column divider spacing.
