Unable to upload an image into ArcGIS StoryMaps via a link.

Workaround

1. Navigate to https://www.arcgis.com/home/index.html, and log in. 
2. Navigate to the Map tab, and save the map. Populate the title, tag, and description.
3. Click the share icon, and in Embed this map, click Create a Web App.
4. Click Build a Story Map > Story Map Journal, and click Create Web App. Click Done.
5. Choose the layout of the user preference, and click Start.
6. After naming the story map, ADD HOME SECTION pops up. Select Image in CONTENT, and click Link.
7. Insert the desired image link.
8. Accept the default setting, and click Next.
9. In the side panel content, click Add.
