Bug

Unable to upgrade a Postgres enterprise geodatabase in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Relational Database Service (RDS) and returns the following error, "Error: -25 ERROR: must be the owner of relation i14. The sde user cannot perform the upgrade. A user with dbo privileges is required."

Workaround

  • Change the owner of the i-tables to SDE to allow the upgrade.
  • Make the SDE user role a member of the data owner role to allow the upgrade.
