Unable to update a published ArcGIS Pro map in ArcGIS Pro.

Workaround

1. Save the map with a default map name such as 'Map_Current' when initially creating the map file (.mapx).
2. When opening the .mapx, rename the map and click Save As > Map File to create a new .mapx if necessary to save the previous map progress or keep record of the changes.
3. After saving the new file, rename the original map back to the default name such as 'Map_Current', and update the map in ArcGIS Pro.
4. Click 'Update' in ArcGIS Portal with the associated ArcGIS Pro map item if required.
