Workaround

Use a 3 tier connection when loading the ArcSDE raster datasets into the image service, or copy the appropriate files from %ARCGISHOME%\Bin directory to the Image Server\Bin folder:Sde(databaseversion)gsrvr93.dllGsrvr(databaseversion)(sdeversion).dllFor example, if direct connect is needed for IS 9.3 to load a 9.2 sde raster from Oracle 10g, the following files should be copied:- sdeora10gsrvr93.dll- gsrvrora10g92.dll
