This is a known limit with Microsoft Edge.Workaround
If Microsoft Edge is currently set to open files directly in the application, follow these steps to disable the feature.
- In Microsoft Edge, click the three dots in the upper-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Click Downloads.
- Disable the 'Open Office files in the browser' setting.
