Unable to geocode with the single-field option in the custom composite locator in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.

Workaround

Select 'Location information is in multiple fields' under 'Location fields', and ensure the imported CSV or Microsoft Excel (.xls) file has more than one field in addition to the street name, such as a zip code, city name, or state.
