Additional Information
This option creates a new point feature class. Change the data source of the point feature layer to a different feature class but not a different table. Using the Make XY Event Layer tool to make a point feature layer that uses a table as the data source. Request from the mapping development team to change the source of an xy event layer and its fields or coordinate system if that is required in the workflow. The XY Table To Points tool cannot accommodate the request.
Workaround
Use the Make XY Event Layer geoprocessing tool instead of the Display XY Data option to create an XY event layer in ArcGIS Pro. This solution allows changing the data source to another table, but does not allow updating the XY data fields.
