Workaround

Make a connection to the GIS server in the Catalog tree in ArcMap: 1. Click GIS Server. 2. Click Add ArcGIS Server > Next > ensure the option use GIS services used > Next > insert this url http://imagery.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/services > OK. The connection to the services is visible. 3. Expand the connection, and go to the selective folder to add the service.
