Unable to add a WFS layer by URL in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer. The error message "Layer could not be added" is returned, yet the saved web map opens without error in Map Viewer Classic.

This issue is not reproducible when tested by the development team and will not be addressed at this time. If the issue continues, please reach out to Esri Support Services.Workaround
Add a layer in Map Viewer Classic.
- Open Map Viewer Classic.
- Select "Add layer from Web" from the "Add" dropdown.
- Select A WFS OGC Web Service as Data type.
- Paste URL.
- Select "Get Layers".
- Select layer and layer type. For example, URL, select Polygons.
- Click Add Layer.
The project can then be opened in Map Viewer and used as expected.
