Additional Information

ArcGIS GIS Server configured with Windows Active Directory (AD) users can only utilize the Windows Down-Level Logon Format. Explained here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa380525(v=vs.85).aspx The @ symbol is not supported by Windows AD in that format. It is automatically changed to an underscore if logging in to ArcGIS GIS Server using the other Windows logon format (User Principal Name), which is not recognized by ArcGIS GIS Server.
