Trying to export an attribute table that 600+ fields to a TXT file fails with the error "There was an error exporting the table".

Workaround

partial work around: use the Export Attribute to ASCII. It gets all the fields, but leaves out the field names.customers workaround: export to a .shp file, and then use a "3rd party product" to convert .dbf to .txt
