TrueCurve geometry polygon features in a map service cause the GeoJSON-output REST query to fail, but HTML or JSON-output queries succeed.

Workaround

In ArcMap, run the Densify or the Simplify Polygon tool on the feature layer to "remove" the TrueCurve geometry, then publish the service to make the GeoJSON-output queries succeed.

The following is a query that succeeds on a service that is densified for a feature that failed on the non-densified layer's service:
