Content embedded inside ArcGIS StoryMaps is subject to security policies restricting some functionality. There are several workarounds to be utilized.Workaround
Explore the embedded Google Map in ArcGIS StoryMaps, which allows the map to open in a new browser window and function as expected.
Additional workaround: For this specific use case, it is recommended to use a map tour to present the locations instead of embedding a third-party mapping website. If it is desirable to utilize a third-party mapping site for directions, links to the website for driving directions could be pre-generated and added to each map tour location. The standard hyperlinks open as expected since the site is not launched from an embedded version.
