The WFS To Geodatabase geoprocessing tool fails with an invalid pointer error when the Web Feature Service (WFS) that has been published contains a layer that has a name with periods (For example, edit.GIS.RoadL).

Additional Information

Make sure the geodatabase alias table is updated with the alias name. (For example, RoadL). After the geodatabase alias table is updated with the alias name, the issue does not exists.

Workaround

Remove any period in the name of the layer before the .mxd is saved, and publish as a Web Feature Service (WFS).
