The Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition) applications fail to load secured services in web maps, which do not have credentials stored, when the application is hosted on the same web server where both ArcGIS for Server and Portal for ArcGIS Web Adaptors are installed on. No prompt is displayed for credentials; the layer fails to load, and a HTTP 498 response is returned from the request for the layer.
