The view on a file geodatabase stand-alone table returns the error, “Failed to add data, unsupported data type. ” when attempting to add it to a map.

Additional Information

With the latest version of ArcGIS Pro, the issue is not reproducible.

Workaround

  • Sometimes removing the TABLE_A from the contents then adding the View1 to the map, it is successful, other times the error message is returned.
  • When creating a new file geodatabase and copy the view to new file geodatabase, it adds to the map successfully. The original view from the original file geodatabase can then be added without issue to the map.
  • Copy the table to a new file geodatabase and create the same view on the new FGDB table and add the view without issue.
