Bug
The user receives the warning message, "The address locator needs to be repaired in order to be rebuilt" each time the address locator is attempted to be rebuilt from the ArcCatalog/Catalog window.

Description
In ArcCatalog, when a user right-clicks the address locator and selects Rebuild to rebuild the address locator, the following message is displayed: "The address locator needs to be repaired in order to be rebuilt. Cause
This is a known issue where the software forces an unnecessary repair.Workaround
