The 'Update sharing' prompt does not pop up in Map Viewer Classic after adding a hosted feature layer (not shared) to a web map (shared with an organization) and then clicking on the Share button.

This issue is not reproducible in ArcGIS Online. If the issue occurs, contact Esri Support Services, as additional information is required for further investigation.Workaround
In order to receive a prompt to update the sharing level, update the sharing level from Content (in the screenshot below, the 'Sharing level' icon for the web map is selected and the 'Update sharing' prompt is displayed). This should have occurred when attempting to share the web map from Map Viewer Classic as well.
