Bug

The Tracer.Trace() method unexpectedly returns zero results for named trace configurations in a utility network in the ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET CoreHost application.

Applies toArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET
Version found3.2
Operating SystemWindows OS
Operating System Version10.0 64 Bit
StatusAs Designed

Additional Information

The TraceArgument.ResultTypes is set to 0. The named trace configuration to JSON is exported and confirmed this: "resultTypes":[]. When creating the named trace configuration, the Result Types popup is set to include one or more result types (such as 'Selection'). The Pro UX automatically defaults to include 'Selection', but the developer's APIs (Pro SDK, JavaScript, Maps SDK for Native Apps) read the value literally. An issue is written up either Prevent the 'Add Trace Configuration' geoprocessing tool from running if Result Types is left blank, or Automatically append the 'Selection' result type if nothing is specified.

Workaround

Recreate named trace configurations to have a valid Result Type.
