Please refer to the following specifications: 1) Refer to 3.3.6.3.2.2 in the DATA PRODUCT SPECIFICATION (DPS) 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale MGCP Topographic Map (MTM) 2017-04-14 Version 1.1 2) Refer to 3.3.6.3.2.2 in the DATA PRODUCT SPECIFICATION (DPS) 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale Topographic Map (TM) (2017-04-15) Version 1.1. The web-help topic 'Inserting the TLM Elevation Guide Bar element' at https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/extensions/defense-mapping/inserting-the-tlm-elevation-guide-bar-element.htm states the following with the second, the surround element is not displayed when only one elevation band is present. Step 12 in the web-help topic states the following: Change the number of bands displayed in the Elevation Guide Bar by clicking the drop-down arrow in the Number of Bands area. 1—None. The TLM Elevation Guide Bar is suppressed. 2—Low and High bands appear in the TLM Elevation Guide Bar. 3—Low, Medium, and High bands appear in the TLM Elevation Guide Bar. 4—Low, Medium, High, and Highest bands appear in the TLM Elevation Guide Bar. This is the default value.

Workaround

  1. Change the 'Number of Bands' to 2.
  2. Convert the Elevation Guide Bar to a graphic.
  3. Make edits to the graphic to produce an Elevation Guide Bar with one band.
