Additional Information

The issue no longer occurs when using ArcGIS Pro 3.5 and ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5. Performance remains consistent regardless of whether the JSON is formatted or unformatted.

Workaround

Run the script tool by passing the unformatted JSON.
