The secured Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) service does not work in ArcGIS Map Viewer. The GetTile request returns the "General Exception" error message.

Additional Information
Adding the WMTS and using the custom parameters to set the username and password successfully adds the WMTS layer, and the selected tile layer draws with no network traffic failures.Workaround
- Add the Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) layer(s) to ArcGIS Map Viewer Classic as a basemap.
- Use the WMTS in ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1.
