The sample code to set Symbol Levels programmatically functions as expected in Default View of Symbol Levels Dialog. But, fails to set the symbol levels in Advanced View.

1. Open ArcMap2. Add any polygon feature class and set its symbol to “Multilayer” fill symbol3. Right-click on the feature layer in TOC, Select “Properties”4. Navigate to Symbology tab. Advanced -> Symbol Levels -> Symbol Level Dialog will be opened5. Switch the view to Advanced View. Click Ok6. Run the code7. The code sets the values in Advanced View only when the View is changed manually from Basic to Advanced View.Steps to Reproduce
