The 'Render only when filtered' option does not work on the initial app load if the source element is also the target of a 'Render only when filtered' action in ArcGIS Dashboards.

Workaround

Set the filter on both the list and the details (in the Category selector dialog box for Selector or Actions). If the filter is applied only to the list, it does not work.
