The Reconcile Versions tool fails and returns the warning message, “WARNING 003576: Error posting version <version_name>. (null),” due to an application lock error when attempting to asynchronously reconcile and post a branch version to Default.

Workaround

Use the Reconcile Versions tool without the option to Post versions after reconcile, or; Reconcile and Post using the commands on the ArcGIS Pro Versioning tab.
