The Rebuild Address Locator tool causes the configuration properties to revert back to default for locators created using the Create Locator tool.

Workaround

Reconfigure the properties of the locator after rebuilding, as desired which has significant implications, especially for the existing geocoding services when a user tries to update the reference table with the latest data available.
