Workaround

Rename the inline variable name of the Raster Calculator tool's input from the model

Right-click the Raster Calculator tool's model input variable (that contains the inline variable %Name%), click Rename, and name it without the % symbol. Once the variable is renamed, revalidate and run the model.

  • Note: This only changes this intermediate variable's variable name, not its value or the file output name from any previous tool, which will still be based on the name of the feature class being iterated over.

Manually remove extra % symbols from the Raster Calculator tool's expression

Open the Raster Calculator tool in the model and remove the extra % symbol that surrounds the whole variable name. For example, change "%%Name%_IDW%" to "%Name%_IDW". Once the extra % symbols are removed, revalidate and run the model.
