The Portal for ArcGIS Map Viewer table of contents displays layer names differently for a map service than a feature service, causing the individual layer to not be identifiable if the service name is lengthy.

This issue is logged against the Map Viewer Classic (3.x JS SDK) which is now deprecated (Refer this deprecation notice https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/deprecation-map-viewer-classic-deprecation-000030662 for information). The issue is not reproducible in Map Viewer (4.x JS SDK) in newer versions of ArcGIS Enterprise. It is recommended to use the Map Viewer for all their workflowsWorkaround
