Additional Information

This is a limitation in SimpleMarkerSymbol that lacks documentation. The documentation is updated to indicate SimpleLineSymbol styles are not available for SimpleMarkerSymbol outlines. The same visualization is achieved by using a CIMSymbol to define a dashed or dotted outline on marker symbols.
