Additional Information

The issue only occurs with the input layer's perfect circle or curve geometries. When converting to KML, these curves are projected to WGS84 with some distortion.

Workaround

  • Use the Project tool to project the layer to WGS84 with the Preserve Shape parameter checked, then convert the projected layer to KML. 
  • Alternatively, use the Pairwise Buffer or Buffer tool with the Geodesic method to create the buffers.
  • Another option is to use the Generalize editing tool with the Densify option to add vertices around the circle. This preserves the shape when converting to KML.
