The Majority Filter tool returns the error message, “999999: Something unexpected caused the tool to fail. Contact Esri Technical Support (http://esriurl.com/support) to Report a Bug, and refer to the error help for potential solutions or workarounds.” when running a certain ArcGIS Pro 2.6.2 model with the mask raster applied.

Workaround

  1. Disconnect the mask function from the model.
  2. Run the model.

The model runs fine when building a model with just the Majority Filter tool, the input raster, and the mask raster.

The model runs successfully when the rasters used are converted from masks to polygons. Attempting to convert the other rasters to 8-bit datasets, as well as converting the raster dataset to a file of binary floating-point values in order to match the main input raster returns with the same error.
