The localized Japanese language pack does not get installed when upgrading ArcGIS GeoEvent Server 10.5.1 to ArcGIS GeoEvent Server 10.6.

Workaround

  1. Obtain a copy of GeoEvent Server's XML site configuration.
  2. Uninstall GeoEvent Server 10.5.1 (localized).
  3. Install GeoEvent Server 10.6 (localized).
  4. Re-import the XML site configuration. All characters should be in Japanese with a fresh installation.
