The development team has considered the issue or request and concluded it will not be addressed in the current release cycle. If this is still a concern, contact Esri Support Services.Workaround
Do not use group layers.
- Create a new map in ArcGIS Pro where only the layers that are desired to be included in the hosted feature layer are added.
- In the top navigation bar, select Share > Web Layer > Publish Web Layer.
- Analyze and publish the layer as a feature.
- Navigate to the hosted feature layer's Overview page in ArcGIS Online. Notice how all the map layers are included.
- Navigate to Content, and select Create > Feature Layer > From Existing Feature.
- Select the hosted feature layer and ensure all map layers are toggled on.
- Complete the workflow.
- Navigate to the new hosted feature layer's Overview page.
- All sub-layers are included.
