Additional Information

This issue is addressed in ArcGIS 3.5 and ArcGIS 3.4.3.

Workaround

Here is a new workaround for the issue. Change the Comparison Features Start Date Field name to be the same as the Primary Feature Start Date Field name. If used, follow the same pattern for the Primary and Comparison End Date Fields. Changing field names can be done using the Alter Field geoprocessing tool or by right-clicking the layer in the Contents pane and going to Data Design > Fields. Once the inputs are matching across both datasets, then the tool will run correctly.
