Additional Information

This behavior is no longer reproducible on the reported Android device. Please ensure Google Chrome is allowed to access the location via the mobile device's Privacy > Location settings.

Workaround

Before pressing the Find my location button, disable the mobile device’s location and enable it to locate the current location.
