The 'Filter data records' action, when a record selection changes in ArcGIS Experience Builder widgets, does not filter when selecting records outputted from a query on a date field.

Workaround

1. Create a string field in the hosted feature layer and use SQL to calculate the string field to equal the date field.
2. Use this new string field for the Query widget and filter action. This may only apply to certain query expressions.
