The Features To GPX tool leaves the elevation tag in the created .gpx file empty as a non-numeric type if the elevation field is not specified and the input feature does not contain z-values.

Additional Information

This issue is addressed in ArcGIS Pro 3.6.

Workaround

  • Use a tool such as Notepad. In the created .gpx file, manually replace all (Ctrl+H): "<ele>NaN</ele>" to "<ele>NaN</ele>".
  • Run the GPX To Features tool again on the updated .gpx file. The tool correctly creates a feature from the .gpx file.
