Additional Information

ArcGIS Pro 2.6 and 2.7 update the extent if the polygon is larger after editing the vertices. Both ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap do not update the extent if the polygon is smaller after editing the vertices. At this time, this is marked as designed since it is the same for ArcMap. Additional justification is needed to further consider the need to fix this.
