This issue is not reproducible in ArcGIS Online. If experiencing the described behavior, contact Esri Support Services for troubleshooting.Workaround
In ArcGIS Pro, manually update the table. If the table is brought into ArcGIS Pro via the portal connection, manually update and save the table. All table updates and data additions are reflected in ArcGIS Online.
If the dataset is extensive, the table can be appended in ArcGIS Pro by selecting 'Use the field map to reconcile field differences' for the Field Matching Type parameter and matching the fields to append to the table. After running the tool, the data is appended to the table and reflected in ArcGIS Online. However, this enables the addition of new data, but the existing data does not update with the Update option of the tool.
